We have a program to assist you to get back on the saddle: ...
Our Horse Assistance Program ... has been developed for every rider, although it origin was founded during the 1900's
Like the Remount units of WW1 in Australia and Egypt, Remount 2 Light Horse works with the rider who has lost their confidence and the ability to be around their horse and for the need of assistance when getting back on the saddle.
The loss of confidence may have been through a fall from a horse, or just a simple bad experience with a horse, and sometimes it has just been a long time out of the saddle.
I just love this side of things, working with people getting their confidence back and watching them riding once more with pleasure and purpose, no matter what the discipline they ride.
Jess's story.........
Jessica's mum approached me at an event, asked me if I could help out her daughter who had lost her confidence and ability to associate with horse's.
Getting to know the rider, Getting the riders trust and confidence around a horse,
For me it was some what easy to work with Jess., I was able to sit down with her and have a talk about why she was in this situation she was in ..... it also enabled her to get to know me and feel confident in what I was wanting to do with her so she could have confidence and trust in me and what I wanted to do for her, and regain her respect for riding and not the fear of it.
Jess had just given birth to a bub [2 months old], but had also had a serious sports injury, although she wanted to touch the horse [Jonesy] she just couldn't bring her self to do it, even though he was in a small work yard. After an hour we had Jess walking leading, patting, lying on his back and taking control of the horse.
And know she is up and riding without any problems, the fear that she had around a horse is now respect and trust with confidence.
